Testing
« on: May 07, 2006, 04:47:57 pm »
Through this forum and my trusty craftex manual I'm learning so much about carpet cleaning, However the more I look into it the more tests I come across.

Can somebody please summarise all the tests that can/should be (even if you don't) carried out before cleaning. Tests that I've read about include ph test, dye bleed test, fabric construction, checking seams and grippers... And what oh what is a Crock Test?????

Would these tests be carried out before the clean or when qouting ?

Also is there any chance somebody can be so kind as to let me see a copy of there risk assesment sheet/pre clean survey sheet? It would be real interesting to get an idea what work goes in to C/C before hand.

Thanks Everyone

Andy

Gary can I be even cheekier and ask for your 'goodies'. I'm just trying to build up as much info as poss. It's good to see what other people use.

Ok, you should, but not everyone does. With  some range of chemicals like microsplitters and Ultimate Master they really are squirt and go. I might have been very lucky but I've never had a problem and have always had good results.
