Is the extreme pole only designed for use with a extreme brush or can you use any manufactures brush.
Thank you

Any.

Except vikan. Too heavy. Lol.

Personally I don't like extreme brushes as I feel they lack a bit of oomf. I've used supreme/sill/  tecbuk and superlite brushes on my extreme.

They all work fine.

The extreme is just that.....extremely light. Too light a brush for me.

To be honest after spending all that cash on a light pole I think it would be a shame to stick a brick on the end of it.
The xtreme brush can be a hard brush to get used too, its not a brush you will instantly like but give it time you wont
want to use any other.
I use the medium mixed (black and white) for all my window cleaning and the stiff for fascia cleaning, I haven't come across
anything on the glass so far that these brushes didn't handle with ease.

I used to use the extreme brushes but they lack scrubbing power and longevity is rubbish...

You can't beat the superlite medium mixed   it's the best brush gardiners do :)

i went from superlite because of the weight to an extreme and i too found once you got the knack they was fine but the life of the brush wasnt great then thought i'd try the supreme brushes and im finding theyre the perfect balance between the two and the soft bristles are perfect for me, i find im not having to scrub as much as using an extreme and its making the job a bit quicker in my mind?

I'm the same to be honest.

Extremes were fine when I used to use them, but I just prefer the supreme now. I feel a little bit of weight on the brush head let's me clean faster with better results. I also use a carbon gooseneck, so the weight at the top of the pole isn't huge really.

Hi

You shouldn't be giving this sort of advice out. Especially as you're a new Extreme user.

------------------------------

Bob

The Pole has a recommended limit of 260 grams and the fitment of aqua dapter is not recommended either.

I witnessed a 47ft extreme snap with this brush fitted.

http://gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/all-products/water-fed-poles/brushes/super-lite-45cm-wide-brushes.html

That brush weighs 370 Grams.

The guy was mortified when i told him about "weights"

He got the brush on a auction site for a "bargain" wasn't such a bargain afterwards ;)

Me personally. I used an extreme with an AD and super light for 6 months. Got on fine with it.

They are "recommended weights"

BUT!

If you snapped your extreme and then said "Hey it snapped, guy on ciu said any brush except vikan" Where do you think you will stand? Yep! Crying by your van with two poles and a spoon up your nose ;)

I've used both Extreme and SLX's. Extreme pole sits right with extreme brush not supreme (too heavy). .SLX is right balance  for Supreme.

I too have snapped an Extreme pole but only when the walls of the shaft were worn paper thin. I've always found them to be surprisingly strong poles. Can't see any point in adding an aquadapter or a sill brush to such an exquisite pole. Certainly nothing heavier than a supreme brush otherwise you're wasting your money on such a fine tool!

i use extremes, supremes, sill and standard SL brushes on my xtreme poles.no probs.

my favourites are the supremes(flocked and soft hybrid)for most regular window cleaning.good weight balance between extreme and SL brushes IMO.great scrubbing power for a light brush and you can clean the sills more effectively than using the extremes.
price higher/work harder!

300 grams is the recommended weight limit, not 260.

I thought it was only vikans that were 300g plus.

You lads make me P**s myself laughing getting all worked up about 40 grams difference on the end of a pole.
As if you would even notice the difference when you take the weight of the pole and all the various angles you will be using it into consideration.
If you can't handle 40 grams I think you should get into another game!

oh how wrong you are positivity :)

Any weight at the brush end is magnified many times .

i have used all brushes ionics, brodex, vikan, wilkinsons specials,Gardiner( superlite, supreme and extreme.)

Without question, extreme is the best .

The online statement is correct - 300g is the limit to what we currently recommend using with an Xtreme pole. There is not a lot of point in using an Xtreme pole with a heavier brush as the effects of leverage of a heavier brush at height would offset the lightness of the pole.

The manual is in the middle of being updated and will in future state 300g.
