Calcium, Magnesium & Sodium Removal
« on: June 26, 2015, 04:03:32 pm »
Hi all

Would appreciate any tips and advice on how to clear Calcium/Magnesium/Sodium from glass.

Have seen some products online 'Crystal Clear 550' being one of them but as these kind of products are very expensive it would be great if someone already had experience and was successful in removing these types of stains.

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Viakal or killrock will clear calcium.

Magnesium and salt (sodium) might need something more specialised like mdr and/ or bronze wool.

I've never had any success with Winsol Crystal Clear or Unger Rub Out - both been useless for me.

Oilflow is more for removing sticky stuff really - basically it's crap too  ;D I think it's designed with health and safety in mind so it's probably made from spring water with a dash of herbs.

Dunno It's very hard to find in this country I got some off a guy on facebook.
America seems to be the only place that uses it.

Silly question, how do you know it's calcium, sodium and magnesium on the glass?

Seems a bit odd.
Just chant..... Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna, Krsna Krsna, Hare Hare, Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare. It's beats chanting Tory Tory or Labour Labour.
