Hi does any one no how to change the membrane on a 4040 pure freedom ro  I've watched one video on you tube but still haveing trouble  Thanks

Very straightforward just done mine today

At the end tap water goes in you will see a white ring "c" shape push it together and it will pop out.
Pull out the black end cap and o ring grab the end of the membrane and pull

Install in reverse of above

Great thank you got the white plastic bit of  just haveing trouble  pulling the membrane out must be stiff

Gets sucked into position wiggle up and down as you pull, same with membrane.

Open the valves at the other end helps release the "vacuum" effect

Finally got it out thanks for the help

Sounds like you haven't quite pushed the end cap all the way in - the ring fits into a groove

Thanks smudger I will try again  I did give it a couple of hits though if you put the clip in the wrong way round it fits perfect but then you can't fasten the yellow screw bit over it

Thanks smudger and every one for helping  you was right I had to really hit the housing lid on for the clip to fit on all done and making pure water thanks again
