Looking for a good WFP additive ?
« on: June 18, 2015, 10:28:21 am »
Try adding Rainex( not the one in the spray bottle) to you tank. It will work very well and might surprised many using other well known products.  Try it Sean K and Guys lets have some feed back.

Slap there are a few fundamental problems with putting additives in your tank, one your limited with the amount you
can add because of spotting so that limits their effectiveness and two if you start adding the amounts needed to make even a small improvement in the cleaning power of pure then they become too expensive for the gains you get.
Do you honestly not think some of the bigger suppliers have not looked into this and if so why haven't they put one on
the market ?
Even Unger haven't went down this route and they have released some horrendous stuff for wfp in this last few years.

I've gained a number of customers from another WFPer directly as a result of them adding additives to their water. They were advertising it to their customers but it was apparently causing a lot of spotting and they didn't listen to their complaints. First time I did them with just pure water they were all happy again. As a result I'd be very wary of adding anything to my water other than viro-sol or something similar on a first clean followed up with a good rinse.

After all the threads about vision I must admit that I used  vision for the first time today and I have to say it was definitely  good

Windows looked cleaner, worked that bit faster....

Will have to start using my hearing now and see if that helps...

I just remove all the dissolved solids from my tap water & it seems to work a treat!! I recommend this to anyone using WFP. :)

And if you remove them down to a reading of zero parts per billion you'll do a better job!   ::)roll

I don't know. They were just told it would make their windows cleaner.  I did wonder at first whether they were just not filtering their water properly.  But then I reasoned if that were the case I don't think I could have cleaned then so easily first time as there would have been difficult to remove deposits on the glass from six months or so of cleaning with contaminated water. I live in a high TDS area (400 ppm out of the tap) So I think it probably was what they were putting in the water that was causing the problem.

When I first started WFP a number of my customers asked what I was putting in my water because it was making their windows sparkle. Their words not mine. So I don't know what can be gained by putting an additive in the water.

Well I tried opening  a few closed minds. When Vision came along every one went mad trying a new additive.   Just shows we are only happy if it cost a lot.

I use big amounts of vision in my tank far more than the recommended amount,it doesn't effect my TDS levels

Slap there are a few who are only interested in promoting Vision so they have no interest in listening or hearing about other
additives or cheaper alternatives.
You have an even smaller few who for some reason want to experiment with additives and when asked don't seem to know why.
Then you have the majority who are happy and getting great results with pure alone so have no interest in  finding a magic
potion.
That's it in a nutshell mate it nothing to do with open or closed minds.
