Question to seanK ref: pre filters
« on: June 08, 2015, 07:45:20 pm »
Hi Sean,
I've just been told from Vyair who I bought my system from, saying that I should change my pre filters every 8 weeks, and my membrane once a year.
What would you say to that.

Well for a start I would say change your membrane when it needs changed, as for pre filters its up to you mate
just remember pre filters protect the membrane and that's all.
Its up to you how much you want to spend, I know that I don't need to change mine that often even though I got the same
advice as you from my supplier.
I last changed my pre filter over a year ago but my membrane is almost ready for changing so why waste money protecting it.
When it comes to membrane protecting there are guys out there who are spending pounds to save pennies.

What I will also say is if you have high levels of sediment then you will have to change the sediment filter more often or your
production will slow down.
