old lass did a runner
« on: June 06, 2015, 12:35:13 pm »
I Have done this old lasses windows for about 1 year. Spot on she is. Full set of marbles etc. Its £8. She always pays cash, as shes always in when I clean. I usually ow her £2 change. Last clean she gave me a £5 and said she would give me it next clean. Next clean came and she wasn't in. That's £11. Keep trying, as she doesn't like owing money. No one in. I text a
customer today, who knows her and shes moved. The old bat lol. She had my number. She hasn't got a mobile. I have found the  area where shes moved to, but not the house. I wander what she will say when I knock on her door :)

I guess she'll say, "Haven't you got better things to do with your time than to take a small debt personally and track me down?"

I had one a few years back,  owed £24
I just happened to ask the new residents for the address of my ex customer who had left,  they readily gave it to me and I got a cheque in the post after contacting them
They weren't happy I found them,  ha ha

I had one who kept promising to pay and never did. Next time I cleaned the development I saw this guy going into her house so I asked him if Sarah was around as she owed me a tenner. No she's not but I'm her Dad. I got the ten quid and another ten for the next clean. Had great pleasure texting to tell her Dad had paid  ;D. Needless to say I won't be cleaning for her again!

Got one at the moment. New estate, nice houses etc. I canvassed her and told her I will leave BACS details on first clean. 5 weeks later she is due again and still no payment. I clean and leave a slip. I go back a couple of nights later and catch her home. Oh, I've been in Mexico for 3 weeks and saw your slip. Like what has 3 weeks away got to do with it? No sign of payment as of yet. I will call by her house in about 2 weeks if no sign of payment and leave a reminder. If she ignores it it will be dirty applicator on the glass left to dry.
We look at them, they look through them.

Some good examples there of how people, of all kinds, treat window cleaners like something they picked up under their shoe.  :-[

Window cleaners are treated no worse than anyone else when it comes to bills. Money and obligation rarely mix so far as customers are concerned whatever business you're in.

Insisting were different and victims of societies attitudes only makes you feel like a leper and there's no favours done living that way.
