That hose in pic must be 2 years old and I haven't had a prob with hose, I did pull it against a sharp corner and cut it but I fitted an inline his connector which hasn't been a prob.

What would you guys think is most important in a hose reel?  Longevity of life? Extra space for hose so it doesn't fall off the reel? Good easy to use hose fittings? Bearings?
The thing I'm looking for with a hand cranked reel is super smooth operation and by that I mean that 1 good spin it almost reels in on its own when the brake is off, also high sides so no hose going over the sides. I can fit easily 150 meters on mine with space left over, most £90-100 reels struggle to fit 100 microbore on unless it's reeled in neatly evenly across the reel. Last but not least it must not leak at all even with very hot water, mine has never dripped a drop from all the fittings due to them being rectus style fittings internally and on the input 1/2" water hose

Thanks for that. I take it the reel you use has bearings?  Aren't you just reeling it in as fast as you can turn the handle?

Hey guy's
Would like to add another reel into my van ( citroen dispatch 56 ) to make a 2 man set - up . Don't fancy wrestling two reels in and out of the van every half hour, plus the lack of room with 2 reels side by side. Has anyone bought the Pure Freedom twin stacked reels? If so could you let me know the pro's, con's. Thanks, Phil. ......

.
just bought one 2 week ago from pure freedom twin stack best thing we have ever bought buy one u won't be disappointed

Yes Peter it has bearings but no as regards to reeling it in, one good spin and it will do several revolutions on its own. I give it a spray of WD40 every couple of weeks

If I put another 50 meters on there it would fit with ease with room left over

Wouldn't it be better spending a few more £ and getting a power reel

I will be soon but I'm trying to sort the battery problem first for an electric reel, they draw a lot I'm running a heater with my setup so in order for it to be used at the moment for the reel to work at full power I have to start the van up while I'm reeling it in due to the drain on the battery

I didn't think they used a lot of power

They do if your running a heater as well, the heater uses lots of battery power and although it's split charged when you power the reel the reel struggles to pull the hose in. You really need a independent battery
