hose reel
« on: June 04, 2015, 09:27:23 pm »
Hey guy's
Would like to add another reel into my van ( citroen dispatch 56 ) to make a 2 man set - up . Don't fancy wrestling two reels in and out of the van every half hour, plus the lack of room with 2 reels side by side. Has anyone bought the Pure Freedom twin stacked reels? If so could you let me know the pro's, con's. Thanks, Phil. ......

There is more than enough room to fit 2 reels side by side, I would say this arrangement would be far better than one above the other.

I have mounted mine upside down on inside of roof, used some brass pipe holder, screwed to 2 x brick hanger and bolted through roof.

I never take hose reel from van and if I need more than 100m I just fit inline hose connector and becomes 200.
I don't lose any floor space this way and will be adding another reel up there soon so I can have pressure washer reel on floor then

Best hand cranked reel you'll ever buy never ever leaks with really hot water either, sometimes that brass fitting you can see on the left gets to hot to touch and still remains leak free. It does several revolutions with one quick spin,10 times easier to use than other far cheaper reels out there. You can reel in and out knowing it's not going to go over the sides and get caught up because of the size of its sides. Around 400 notes well worth the money

Matty,  do you have any pictures? Floor space ìs really important to me. NWH  the Cox reel looks awesome. I get really p***ed off when the microbore gets snagged around the reel. >:(

Matty. Where did you get your reel from. Most have the legs fixed with bolts. Yours looks a solid type. Cant see a weld though

I don't use hot so am ok  ;D

Duncan, I think that one in pic is from circuit hydraulics the hose is defo off him, I need to cut excess metal off really but that's way down the list of jobs to be done, there is plenty of room to have  2 hose reels this way,
My little bro is a bricky so I got them off him but could use any metal really

What would you guys think is most important in a hose reel?  Longevity of life? Extra space for hose so it doesn't fall off the reel? Good easy to use hose fittings? Bearings?
