Handy thing to have - just tried it and I get 1031kg.
Doesn't tell you if that includes fuel etc.

Ok doing a payload check

But don't forget your axle weight

You can be under payload weight but over on your axle weights

thats why ive had my tank fitted longways frank right in the middle of my van much to the derision of people like dave willis!it also allows me to store my trad gear right near the side door.handy for grabbing a clean dry cloth or giving my T MOP a quick dunk in my bucket.

my van has a 900kg payload which is enough for a 500L full  tank and me with minimal other gear
price higher/work harder!

A very valid point. The payload is only one of many things that need to be taken into consideration when fitting a system.  Payload, GVW, Axle Weight, and specific vehicle styles and designs can all effect what size tank can be fitted.

Only because of the safety aspect of your tank - because the only thing stopping the tank going forwards is the lip on the frame at the front - the metal bands actually faced the wrong way last time I saw a pic. The weight distribution is fine but lordy I wouldn't sit in front of that.  :o

What if you close to the limit, and you put on 100kg because of a thyroid problem ?

the lip is 2 inches of steel and the tank is held in place by 2 large bits of frame that sit tight on the top of the tank and bolted to the  bottom frame.its a lot more sturdy than it looks dave!im well happy with it. :)

Few weeks ago I also asked the same question and it was fustrating for me. I looked everywhere trying to findout what my payload is only end up with bunch of different answers from 800kg-1020kg.

My van is Ford Transit T260 swb 56 plate.

According to PC, its 1020kg.

How accurate is this PC?
