First cleans
« on: May 26, 2015, 12:59:38 pm »
Maybe I'm just slow but how long does it take everyone on the first cleans? I know every house is different but 'on average' I mean?
See I like to make sure it's done right 1st time so I don't have to go back so I clean them all once, let them dry , then rinse all the windows again- usually take 40 minutes?
How about you guys??

2 - 3 times as long as a normal clean, depending how dirty they are.

So, do you do your first cleans on a separate day or just fit them into your round? Coz iv been having days just for first cleans as they kinda ruin my round, then the next month I slide them into the round with all the rest

i usually fit them in next time im working in the area.if its a stand alone.any day where i have a slack day. :)

I'm just starting out and I'm taking on average 1 hour per first clean (this would be for a reasonable size 1930s semi or similar for which I'm charging £12). I tend to take my time and  have a good 'chin wag' with the customer to get to know them. I have found that this has led to a few referrals. Second cleans are due very soon and I'm hoping to cut the time down by half...

No wonder when your canvassing everyone is against WFP.

Bad news travels far.  ;D

We take is as long as it takes to get the frames, and windows spotless.     You only get one chance to impress the customer for future cleans.     Just try, and not to book too many in one day, as can get quite boring  ;D
