vision injector
« on: May 24, 2015, 09:56:53 pm »

Surprised know one has mentioned this yet!
I'm happy adding vision to my tank but the injector could be very useful for cleaning cons/fascias etc, instead of using a backpack

It's preset at 200-1. And will last for about 500 litres roughly.

So if you wanted to use vision in the injector, you would fill it up with pure water, and then just put about 5mill of vision into it.

If you want to use something else like virosol, then you would just put virosol neat into the injector (2 litre capacity). This would then dispense at 200-1 which is actually a very good ratio for all your standard PVC cleans and conservatories we've found.

You can then just disconnect the injector or fit a bypass and you will be back to  using just pure. It means no more messing about with pump sprayers or backpacks to put chemicals onto whatever it is your cleaning, plus being able to use vision pure water additive even if you purify in demand through di vessels in your van.

Yes ; it certainly makes the application of Vision onto the glass very consistent and gives a great finished result .

If using virosol I would prefer to place it after hose and before the pole, if placed before hose you will have 100 metres of hose full of soapy virosol when you next turn to using pure water, this would take some time to rinse clear

Nothing to stop you doing that at all. Plenty of mobile setup videos on the net.

I have a old spare reel / hose that I use for facia cleans etc .

Some interesting clips on there. Looks very much like they've been mixing a soap like Ecover or GG4 with alcohol to me. Might try a drop of alcohol with my GG4 today and see what happens (although I don't like using ipa). I think the soap reduces the surface tension and the alcohol produces the shine.

That's Maurice Richardson in the video. He sells vision in Australia.

Let us know how you get on with the alcohol.

I prefer mine in coke.  :)

Try 10mls of distilled vinegar per 25 litres lovely shine and no smell no spots and no bubbles

Used the Alcohol today with GG4 - to be honest I couldn't see much difference. 5ml of Alcohol in a 650l tank isn't enough to affect it I don't think. I'm not sure it mixes that well or if any was left in the tank after evaporation. Won't bother again.
GG4 still doing the biz so far.
