Just give the 'standard' vessel a good shake /roll to disperse the channels in the resin caused by the in-flow of water down through the resin.
In 'standard' vessels, the water enters through the top and travels down through the resin and up'n'out through the centre tube....... over time this flow of incoming water can cause channels to form in the resin....they say this system is LESS efficient, as it is not using the entire quantity of resin within the vessel
In the 'new type' vessels (Spectrum etc), the water enters through the top BUT, travels down through the centre tube and up'n'out through the resin...... they say this system completely saturates and uses the entire quantity of resin as there are no channels being formed in the resin........this is what they mean when they say..........'UP TO 30% MORE EFFICIENT'.
