Just asking because I previously had one of their well known  alloy poles which I still have but haven't used it for a while so just wondered if they had improved their range!

Nope.
But for about another £50 you could get a full carbon SLX 35, the Brodex is a hybrid composite pole which will likely be heavier and bendier so not good value for money in my opinion when judged against other poles.

I already have an slx 25 and recently brought a Viper 35 ft from The Cleaning Warehouse. This is from the same place as they make the slx apparently. Same weight too but £75 cheaper so its a no brainer for me!

The Viper poles (which are now no longer on sale) were definitely not made in the same factory as the SLX poles despite the clamps looking almost identical. The clamps also did not feature the same auto-adjustment as is on the SLX Smart Clamps.

That's what the Cleaning warehouse claim so best take it up with them as I'm just the messenger!! I've had mine about 4 weeks as I got fed up with Gardiners always being out of stock! Also the CW is on my doorstep so not far to go if anything goes wrong!

Hi Klean07

Could you just confirm that you bought this pole as recently as 4 weeks ago from The Cleaning Warehouse?

If you could email your reply to alex@agardiner.co.uk - I would be very grateful for your reply  :)

Just been on their website and although the 35ft is out of stock the rest of the range is available to order so don't know who told you they weren't selling them anymore Alex! Also if its wrong what they are claiming why are you so interested?

Hi Klean07  - Just a point - we have been in stock with all of our poles now for months, with only the Super-Max 50 briefly going out of stock  :)

Wouldn't want other clients thinking we did not maintain good stocks of poles  :)

Must have been your website then because when I checked last November they were out of stock for the 35/6 ft!

I cannot find the range on their website at all still - I can only find them on your direct link, which category are they listed under?

I've got no grimes anyway with the SLX which I'm still using after 3 years or so. I just happened to spend a whole day at TCW having my van fitted out with a new system when I test drove almost everything they sell to pass the time away.

I would be most grateful if you could email me with the date of purchase of this Viper 35ft - along with a photo of the clamps on it.

It's not your problem, but it would be of great help to myself  :)

I had my van fitted out on Feb 10th this year. I looked on your site in November but as I've said above whilst hanging around for my van I saw these Viper poles then after getting all info including price I decided to buy one! Competition is good for any business remember British Rail and British Telecom?

I have one of these Brodex poles, they are bloody heavy and the clamps are poop. I will be replacing it as soon as I can afford to.  Would not recommend.

The clamps are very much different to the slx I know for a fact as I have the two poles side by side in my van

Thanks for this date - this is actually 12 weeks ago which is quite different to 4 weeks ago. There is no need to email me any photos in this case  :)

Competition is good I would agree - as long as it is based on innovation.
