LADDERS
« on: May 05, 2015, 09:21:16 am »
I've been asked to do a bit of window cleaning for a local holiday cottage firm who i clean carpets and upholstery for. So far i think i have everything to get me going apart from ladders. Can anyone recommend a good allound set of ladders that would see me through most jobs? As it is just going to be a casual thing i dont really want to invest in more than one set.

Get yourself a 12/13 rung double extension, trade ladder, Abru or similar, slightly heavier than a domestic set but much sturdier, D rungs are more comfortable on the feet.

If you are window cleaning then get the best ladder for the job.
I recommend  an A Frame from midland ladders or Ramsey 3-3.5m

A frame definitely - must much safer than a normal ladder.
Just chant..... Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna, Krsna Krsna, Hare Hare, Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare. It's beats chanting Tory Tory or Labour Labour.

The swivel feet are great.
i thought so till they slipped on green flags, took them off and put spikes on
But they will slip on green flags, Martin  ::)roll. I didn't say they were foolproof.
Spikes can be useful but they can also cause some damage.

G Grffin I only provided  links not comments below them.  ;D
Common sense should dictate if ladders can be used on slippery surfaces or not... :-X

Sorry, not you, Martin.
I posted on Stan's comments. Stan's name is Martin, as well.
