Spicknspan,

Mike only put that as a wind up re your earlier comments on 'MS'.

First thing to work out is whether its real or fake suede , if its real don't touch it with water.

Next problem is the sort of products one would normally use to remove biro, acetone(nail varnish remover) or hair spray containing ether , may cause fake suede to delaminate causing a bubble.

Best to try first with a detergent , then 'MS' , then if no luck prequalify and try acetone on a cotton bud.

Cheers

Doug

As mentioned make sure first that it is suede and not a fabric 'look a like'.

If it is suede then the best thing to do would be to try a Nubuck cloth to remove ink that is sitting on the surface. The longer the ink has been on the further it wil have sunk into the leather.  Wet cleaning will only spread the ink and make matters worse.  A brass brush will help to lift the nap so that the cloth can get deeper into the fibres.  Sometimes it is possible to remove all the ink this way.

Anything futher than this becomes a much more technical problem and would need a trained tehnician to deal with it.
