I've just been browsing through Ebay and couldn't help but notice the amount of aluminium poles on there.

Do people still use them???

I've never used one but imagine them to be horrible.

They weren't even particularly cheap; think I'll stick to my Gardiner poles.

Some supply them to employees as they take a lot of abuse, they are rigid enough but very heavy for
everyday use so I wouldn't recommend them especially when you can get a clx for less money.

I wouldn't expect an employee to use one; not if I wanted them to do a proper day's work anyway haha!!!

I use some mate, been working the last few nights with an ionics weapon, really heavy and the arms ache but needs must.
I paid around £200 for it  and yes I would like an extreme 50 but I won't be paying the prices gardiners want for them, that's clearly not saying there not worth it as many of the guys on here have them. I am just not that fussed and don't mind it as i see it as a little bit of exercise, like I did will ladder work before converting to wfp, so with out it I get lazy.
I don't rate brodex poles at all, they are garbage, I do have 2 that I use for cladding and roofs, also have 2 unger a that are ok but to flexible wen fully out,
I am as refered to as rough as hell sometimes wen tired so for me I will pick used poles up here and there as time goes by. And maybe pick an extreme up for £400 !! U never no.

I did manage to snap the white piece that goes across the brush head on ionics 40 today whilst cleaning some cladding

you must be rolling in it mate with all the hours you work!

trust me mate an extreme 47 would make work a lot easier for you

i picked mine up in the sale a few years ago(£850,old style clamps)well worth it for higher work.ive spent over £2k on carbon poles over the last few years.(3 extremes and 1 SLX) and dont regret it one bit.
