Don't forget your CIS card too so you can be taxed at source 20% instead of 30%.

Any other site operative or site safe card in my opinion is a waste of money as common sense is free and should not be taxed at source.
Rant over.
Good luck with the initial cleans and keep a sharp blade and forget all about scratch waivers and get to know the Foreman and it will work out aĺright.

Site operative card is no longer available.

Go here and type in builders cleaner and it will link you to the correct card.

Interesting...
I've no advice to offer, I used to do no end of builders cleans but no longer have an interest in them.
However it IS interesting to see that you now need tickets of certification in (I'm guessing) a similar manner that anybody self employed in the construction industry has to have.
Back in my builders clean days, window cleaners were not considered part of the construction industry and thereby were exempt from such things....times, they are a changing. (Or have changed I should say)

Construction industry scheme does not require 'cis card ' only one phone call to register with ni number, utr , business address  details handy. Then you get a confirmation letter. Registered users have a choice: 20% taxed at source or gross status payment if ones turnover is at least 30k plus a year excl. vat and materials. The latter is subject to annual check.
