I have recently set up and I used the traditional method and then the WFP method, I personally thought after looking at it that it is down to the user. When I clean the windows with WFP I clean all the vents and frames and sills and really flush the dirt out. I see trad cleaners just clean the glass and wipe the sill quickly and thats its, the vents look black and above the vent is dirty still. I think there are some great trad window cleaners out there, but some guys take 10 minutes on a 3 bed semi and to me to clean each frame and sill and vent etc and glass in 10 mins is just not a good enough clean imo, unless they have like 5 arms.
I just opted for the WFP method due to the deeper clean it performs, again the user is important, I have had lots of bookings from customers unhappy with there trad cleaner and imo there are to many duff trad cleaners about that give the good ones a bad name. I like the trad method and mastered it and do it on bungalows to save water if low or if a customer wants it that way. But I try to offer the WFP method as I think its deeper cleaning and washing away that dirt. To do a first clean trad method doing all frames and vents etc takes ages and many do not do it. I first hand see and hear far to many times crap trad cleaning, again leaving a bad name for the fewer good ones.
I am still slow on WFP, I read on the forums trying to pick up tips etc as a newbie to it all that cleaners are doing 20 a day, I can not even do that with a WFP lol, takes me much longer until I am satisfied and would take me even longer trading it getting ladder off an setting up and putting back. I manage 13-15 max a day probably a bit poor to most I see on here but £140-160 does me a day, may be pathetic to many on here but the wage is still ok. I could not do that many traditional I dont think, maybe I am to fussy, but trad I could do 10 -12 a day. So WFP all the way for me, but everyone has their way and if it suits them, then so be it, thats the main goal, your happy working with your set up, so "whats best", the set up thats best for you!!! Oh and the person performing the clean, the right attitude to cleaning, the pride and willing to do a good job make a good cleaner using trad or WFP. I just think WFP does get a better more crystal clear clean on glass after watching and doing both. I also since starting have had some abuse from cleaners when cleaning, "oh thats not cleaning properly", "get a set of ladders and do it right mate" from other window cleaners, that feel the need to talk to me even though I have never spoken to them before, seesm WFP is somthing to bash or be jelous or nervous of??? I dont bait traditional cleaners as there are top trad cleaners out there. WFP!!!!!!! Love it, love my job and using it!! Oh conservatorys now are a breeze......
