I think that's fair enough. I have a background in middle-management (I was a Staff Sergeant) and the one thing I disliked was having to micro-manage soldiers. I liked soldiers who could use their brains, see what needed to be done, work out how to do it, and get it done.
And that would be the kind of boss I liked; not the wishy washy ones.
Now I work with Wor Lass and she's the complete opposite to this. If there's any kind of problem with anything, she just shouts "Toooooooooosh!".
