That's the first a window cleaner offering advise to people who do pressure washing. You all come on here tring to get every piece of information about how you can all add this to your services but as soon as somebody who does pressure washing who wants to start window cleaning you go all territorial ! See it all the time. I suggest you get your head out of your ass and stay inside your own box
I'm not offering advice to people who want to do pressure washing. Yes i have asked advice here, but again i do not do pressure washing. I do however clean vehicles with a pressure washer, but by "pressure washing" in the context used here we're really reffering to hard floor cleaners and i don't really do them. I am not territorial over window cleaning, nor anything else. I am however an ex mechanic, and whilst it does not qualify me for anything here it does help my understanding of pumps and engines. Which are generally the questions i'll ask on. And, when provoked, like now, i'll give a response on. Cheap Chinese jet washers are fine, for what they are intended for. i.e NOT to compete with Proffesional cleaners using higher spec equiptment. But they are fine for a window cleaner as an add on for certain stuff. Yes i've heard the horror stories, they're usually down to user error. They do require a little bit of prior knowledge etc, but they're fine. There's fellas here (mentioning no names
) , who'll tell you to get a diesel washer at every opportunity he can as they're cheaper to run. Fine if you're using one five days a week, not so fine when you realise they rattle apart unless to tighten all the nuts up every fortnight. And seeing as you only wanted to clean the odd patio etc every week the extra outlay for a diesel wasn't really worth it !!
So you're right i'm on my way to making my millions with my cheap chinese washer. Its four years old, i've cleaned conservatorys with it and allsorts. And luckily for me its got me started on my truckwashing contract. And now i've bought and made a new one !!! I even shared my limited knowledge of what i've done and what i paid, see i'm a good guy !!
You however just seem, to me anyway, to want to shout at anyone who hasn't paid three grand for a Honda !!
But lets get it right. Honda do not make pressure washers. They make engines. Loads of other people make equally good engines a lot cheaper. Now, here's where as a mechanic,or ex one, i do know what i'm talking about !!! Also, can't speak for Interpump as i have not bought a brand new one yet!!! The quality AR Italian pump i bought was built, just like the engine i bought from Germany, in............yep !!!........China.
Don't be a snob, relax, lighten up, give some helpfull info. Oh, hang on, you're from Essex.......am i right ?
