Pressure washer ordered today
« on: February 06, 2015, 10:32:13 am »
I have been scouring for a good deal on a decent pressure washer, loads of deals on here and on eBay.
Thing with used ones, u just never know when it's guna go pop.
Price range from 900 to 1700ovno.

I have just ordered a brand new gx390 set up 21 lpm 220 bar, I have asked for it on a plate as apposed to trolley, but this increased price slightly.

Done the deal with Rutland pumps @ £1400 inc vat.

2 years warranty

So for those of you who are in a similar situation and thinking of buying a set up, weigh up ur option.

What was the reason for having it on a plate instead of a trolley?

Tbh mate, I don't want to be moving it out of the van, I want it bolted down, van is already quite full and I have ordered 75 metres of high pressure hose.

And I dont think the mrs will be ok with me putting it somewhere around the house, i don't have a unit or garage.

This is what's best for me, everyone to there own.

I was just wondering mate.

Will you draw the water from the tank in your van? Can you put a link up of the 75mtr hose please?

No probs mate, that's the idea to help each other. Yes mate water from tank, 500l

I bought all the bits from Rutland pumps inc the hose, they come in 25 metre sections with quick release.

Reason I bought new was........ No matter what the seller tells you a machine could pack up a week later, 2 year warranty with new. Priceless

That's about the same at Jetmac. Thought they would be less without the trolley though.
Good idea bolting it down, no f***er will steal easily.

It's a fecking nightmare with 20-30 metre of hose never mind 75m, you'd need some size of reel for that or are you getting two 40m reels.

Jet mac wouldn't put it on a plate, contacted q washers they were the same and price from both was more than what I paid.

Bottom plate is bolted down to van with rubber shocks on top and plate with machine on is bolted to the top of that.

Hose comes in lengths of 25 meter, options was there starting at 10m

I just thought with being from the van 25 is a nice number and then 50 - 75

Ive got 3 30m hoses, one is old and not great. One is blue and leaves marks absolutely everywhere! The other one is new and great. I will get some connectors.

I agree buying brand new. I've got a GX390 on a trolley, had it about 2.5 years and its been brilliant. I've just had it serviced ready to use again.

I personally would have had it on a trolley And strapped that down in the back of the van. I've done that with mine, it usually stops there and I built a frame over the top with a 50m reel on the top. The reason why Id have it on a trolley is once in a while I get a property where the only access is round 5 houses down a small alley or something similar where I have to take it off the van, wheel it down the paths and run it with a shorter extension piece more like 20m or 30m and have a wheelie bin as a buffer tank. It saves having a few extension pieces on the end and having the back of the van open when your working away

Ashley, for me mate, it's all commercial work at the moment, I did think long and hard about it but having it bolted down in van is they way forward for me. I suppose there's pros and cons to both.

Fully cleaned. Cleaned the carburettor. New air filter and spark plug fitted. Changed oil. Cleaned fuel tank and pipes. Sorted the pulley cord and spring so it works properly.

£131.27 inc VAT.

Same here. Constantly going over the area getting rid of the blue scuff marks.

I phoned up and demanded they send me a black one and not have to pay for it because it's £180! They did and didn't want the blue one back so it sits there as a absolute last resort if needed.

Didn't think a 390 would run a 21ltr pump. Though you needed at least 13hp for that. Before anyone say it is, the new 390x is not 13hp.

I am after 21ltr too. Would be really interested in what you find it will do in real life.
