I've used the A/d from the mk1 through to the xl - it is a very good piece of equipment to have, and was revolutionary when launched , however for me having six on the go at any one time became frustrating with spring breakages ( seemed like every other day ! ) jamming problems after doing SFG cleans ( dirt trapped in mechanism ) or at height, but the mik3 and xl also suffered quality build problems in pursuit of lightness with the mating thread rivets breaking or the hole elongating and the whole thing coming loose.
Peters Aquatap is a different animal, I love them, so do the guys - lighter, shorter and pretty much indestructible - yes they have issues in that you need to lubricate the o rings very couple of months but this is quicker than changing a spring.
I like them for the extra water control, when scrubbing soffits etc I can set the water to a bear minimum trickle then instantly turn it full flow without taking my hands off the pole, which when 30 ft up in breezy conditions is an advantage to pulling on the hose.
Whether you can use one with a swivel is another matter, and when you get your first one the change needed in holding the while cleaning at certain angles will not suit everyone at first.
