Hi

As I am considering to add stone floor cleaning to my business want to find out if 2000-2500 euros (this is excluding cost of training) would be enough to buy essential equipment.
At the moment I am very well equipped for carpet cleaning jobs having 800psi extractor, prochem tm4 which I believe can be used for some hard floor cleaning jobs, also I do have standard speed victor rotary and hard brush for hard floors.

I presume I do need high speed (400rpm) rotary for polishing that I would buy second hand (eg from A3machines).
And here now, what else do I need as an essential accesories/equipment. Would this budget be enough?

Talking about standard cleaning for now, no restoration which would involve expensive equipment like grinders etc.

I know there is rotary cleaners like SX-15, is this worth to buy or wasting money? I know any are using but woud it be essential?

You all ready have the tools for cleaning except a hard floor wand. You need nothing else really to start off, , as you get jobs you can just improve your equipment, heavier, more durable rotary that can take weight, spinner tool etc...

A spinner is better on a truckmount only because it uses a lot of water. So on a portable it may need a continuous feed and pump out. have a look for a wet vac to add to the stone floor as an alternative.

floor wand can wait I think, as was thinking on using carpet wand with teflon glide at the start with my extractor. After a time would get it as well. Could even get craftex floor wand as I have small craftex extra tor. Would be handy for apartments at the start.

Yep, heavy rotary was told I need on the start as not good to start the job and not finish properly having no right machine. Which heavy machine, only one to buy that can quarantee "all jobs" done? Nice if could do the carpets too. Klindex?

that not a problem as storm can empty within seconds and can feed up within minuts having 400l on the van.
... but I dubt spinner can give good results with pressure offered from extractor, technically 800psi but once to press the triger it goes down do 400psi.

We've never needed a high speed rotary. We did ok with an old 15" Taski for a few years, then bought a new 17" Victor because you can load it up to over 70kg, but this is not necessary for most jobs.

We do always use an sx12, but we have got a TM. People always tell us you don't need high pressure, but we use 1,000 to 1,500 psi quite often, and on porties there's a big difference between the pressure showing at zero flow and the pressure achieved with flow through the tool, especially an sx12.

I think Max means that there is a difference between pressure at 1000psi with a small flow of water and pressure at 1000psi at say 17 litres a minute. Two different things.
I tend to use 600 to 750 maximum on my SX12 only because I try and let the cleaning solution do the work with dwell time and don't want to risk the possibility of ripping out loose grout. Then I'm in the grout business not the cleaning business

Radek I'm doing the NuLife course atm in Stockport your hard earned money would be better spent there on education they will tell you that you need very little in equipment in fact you'll save loads as I'm sure you'll have everything anyway, they are making it very easy to understand there's no headache at the end of the day.

how much for nulife course ? (2 days?) and when is it?
for me it cost more as I need to pay flights, hotel taxis etc. would prefer to take it in Ireland and saved money spend on equipment.

Hi Radek, i have been in the industry for over 30 years, i can say with confidence that Eddie Lane from marble rescue is a genius or the master when it comes to hard floor restoration, remember if you do your training with Eddie he will show you ways of generating income that will astound you as i have seen some of the work he carries out, yes you have to invest in the training and having the proper equipment is expensive but the returns on your investment can be a 100 fold and more if you are really serious about hard floor restoration, its also worth noting that Eddie can give you access to unique products to carry out restoration work that no other companies can supply you with as he has them developed himself from different manufacturers around the world. Just to finish Radek we don't do hard floor restoration but when any of our clients require restoration work the only person we ever recommend is Eddie, many of our clients have come back and thanked us for recommending Eddie as they all see him for the true professional he is.
