« on: February 03, 2015, 03:55:47 pm »

If i bought a corwoods gas heater or similar  and let it loop back to the tank (400ltr upright) on the highest temp for half an hour or so before i went to work would the overall temp of the water be warm ??

No too much water , if you want a warm tank an immersion heater will do that

there is a formula for working this out .

an immersion is 3kw and i believe the corwoods is 16kw so it should heat your tank about five times faster than an immersion.

i think vin knows the formula but depending on tank size and temp required i would imagine its going to be a couple of hours.
