black smoke GONE! on my transit connect!

changed oil and filter/fuel and air filters on van today.

WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!no black smoke and soot coming out of the exhaust now!! ;D ;D

took it for a run on the motorway.its sweet! :)
price higher/work harder!

 Glad you got it sorted dazmond, are you still happy with the connect van, and still glad you bought it.
 The reason I ask is because I've got one, had it 2 1/2 years now, T230 LWB 2004, had to get the odd thing fixed
 here and there, but overall I'm very happy with it and think its a great little van.

I had the same trouble last year , changed filter and oil, too, much better.

yeah im happy with it mate.only problem i seem to have at the mo is one injector is leaking diesel down the engine!mechanic fitted new hose but to no avail.i dont know what the problem is!it drives/runs well.any ideas lads?

So a mechanic fitted a new pipe and it hasn't cured it? Now you want us to guess. Some mechanic lol. I would inagine injector washer/seating.

My little Connect 220 is being fully serviced this month including cambelt, fanbelt, cabin filters etc etc.
I shall miss my black smoke  :'(
I save it for those rare little moments when some idiot wants to drive up my rrse.
I usually change down to second gear and watch the black smoke appear.
Oh well!  :-\

I am about to change my connect drive belt as it is squeaking and driving me mad. Waiting for the weather.
