I just find it a rip off to charge double for the insides. I often do some customers insides for FREE.
The average 3 bed house, as long they've cleared all the sills I can go in and trad it all in less then 10 minutes.
If they want all the frames cleaned I will charge or if it's a fairly big house I will charge, normally just the same price as the outside.
I suppose it's because I know how quick I can trad that I can offer the odd freebie inside.
My first proper window cleaning job was working for a company where 2 of us had to trad around 40 houses a day, hated it but it made me damn quick.
I can do the outsides in less than 10 minutes so I think I might do the outsides for free from now on.  ::)roll

:)

8weekly can you come and quote me for my windows please?

all I can say Chris your custys  must love you ,

5 years running my business iv never lost a customer other then those that have moved away or died ( 2 in the last year :'() even with price rises.
2 years ago I had a customer made redundant, he sold his car, cancelled his sky, got rid of nearly all his luxuries, except me! Even I was shocked at that one.

I'm not cheap for the outsides I will admit that, I won't step out of the van for less then a tenner. Wfp is what makes me money and I'm happy with what I earn. I'm in the process of buying a round so about to expand dramatically, probably have to employ someone and I fully expect them to have the same principles, look after the customer, always do a good job, be honest and fair. The business grows itself.

for those people who are charging double for insides then..

1. do you ask the customers to clear the ledges for you?

2. do you put things back on the shelves afterwards or do you let the customer know you won't be doing this?

3. anything else in your T&Cs?

Cleaning the insides of this tomorrow (and outsides). That's just the back! Got the front and the pool house as well.

I'm sure Chris even you wouldn't do that for free??  :-*
