Shureflo pump problems
« on: January 28, 2015, 05:00:11 pm »
I have had two different shureflo pumps start playing up in the space of two weeks??
They appear not to want to draw/prime by themselves.
Had to revert to physically sucking through hose to get them to prime !
They run ok and then stop pumping again.
Both may have had minor air locks but have run them through.
Anyone know a way to check to see if they are knackered or not??
Can they be repaired? or just thrown away.
Cheers Russ

I had a similar problem so I had to put the pump lower down and it's been fine since.

I get it quite a lot after its been turned off. Make a sound like an air lock. No leaks on inlet side, so I put it on full until it clears
