We Fitted a new pure freedom controller and shurflo pump last night.
The controller has been calibrated,but the water flow keeps dying when working.
Its not the battery its only 3 weeks old.
HAS ANYONE ANY IDEAS WHATS CAUSING IT?

if it is flowing normal and then low and back to normal and so forth the battery needs charging.  the cold weather hammers the batterys.  mines almost flat in 2 days and it normally lasts a week.

My first thought was the battery. Have you got a multimeter to check the charge?

Have you increased your shut off psi or "dead end" as it's sometimes called?

The lad that was out in the van that  were  talking about rang pure freedom and they talked him through the re calibration set up,so i think everythings been done correctly.I wasnt actually there

ok, was the pump controller calibrated with pump running at about 70 with the pole connected and fully extended vertically ? if not then that may well be the problem, just a thought

Yeah it sounds like you need to up the dead end psi.

Basically the pump will be pulsing on and off and not running continually. The dead end psi can be adjusted so that as soon as you turn the flow off at the brush head your pumps pressure switch kicks in, instead of building up a tonne of pressure in the hoses.

Do you have any links to your actual controller?

It is usually very easy to increase the dead end psi.

What everyone is describing to you (dead end psi etc..)is 'calibrating' the controller, but from what i can gather from the first post, you've already tried?

 'Mr Bitt's ' post describes how you should calibrate/dead end your controller, but without knowing the actual controller type its a bit hard to tell you exactly how to do it yourself

Then do as mr bitt says with the flow running, and then press & hold the left and right of the 3 buttons of the 3 until 'cal' shows up
Scroll all the way down to 'auto'
Press enter (the right button)
After a few seconds a number should show up
Press enter again
Controller re calibrated
You may need to do this again in the spring/summer as the air temp effects the pressure setting due to the varying density of the water

I'd imagine you've paid a fair whack for your system buddy, so ring purefreedom if you're getting problems (although it does sound like it hasn't been calibrated properly)

I always by pass the pressure switch and pumps last a lot longer without hassle all the time I used to use pumps with the switch they would sod about

i think Jonny maybe right here.. pure freedom will calibrate it below 50 then your pump might keep turning on and off every 5 seconds giving a weak flow..

Just hold two fingers on the arrow up and the on button
Will display CAL
Move number upto 75 and see if will will hold a consistent flow.
