RO 40 40 help please
« on: January 21, 2015, 03:56:56 pm »
So far I have my pre filters and ro 40 40 bolted to the wall in my house, now I want to bring the resin bottle out from my van and fit it to the RO.

My questions are,,,,

1 will it be slower to fill my storage tank.

2 how long will pure water store for,

3 does anyone els have all the system indoors or a shed garage what ever, so the all I have to do is transfer 100 percent pure from storage to van.

4 will this increase the pressure in my hose as it does not have to go through the resin bottle.

Sorry for all the questions ,

Pete Thompson

No.

Ages.  I have left pure water at 0ppm for weeks at a time and it eventually rose to 2 or 3, so that's nothing to worry about.  That said, I'd probably run it through a DI again, before you use it.  Or even better, why remove the DI tank from your van?  Just fill your static tank from the RO and leave your DI vessel in the van, purifying the water as it comes out of the vans tank on its way to the pole.  That way it won't matter if your stored water is at 2 or 4 or more, as the DI will polish it and keep it at zero.

don't know.

*Yes slightly, but not much of a difference.

2 how long will pure water store for,

*A long time

3 does anyone els have all the system indoors or a shed garage what ever, so the all I have to do is transfer 100 percent pure from storage to van.

*Yes that's right

4 will this increase the pressure in my hose as it does not have to go through the resin bottle.

*Possibly but probably not enough to notice.

Sorry for all the questions ,

I built a cabinet for my 4040 and keep it at 10 degrees C with a 120 watt tube heater and a frostat. Its bolted onto the garage wall. My IBC tank is on the other side of the garage and the pure hose is secured to a garage roof beam which joins the di vessel to the tank.
