Are rhino ladder clamps worth the extra money?

I'm wfp so don't use the ladders a huge amount so wondered if it's worth spending the extra.

This is something i am considering.

The biggest issue i can see with these if how they are undone or done up.

as i have a transit. I need to hold onto the ladder with one hand, then try and screw it up with the other.

I don't think i could do that on these new styles ones

I have a set of these and I really like them.
A couple of people have spoke of them coming undone or loose but I have had no problem with mine.

Got mine yesterday 'toys 4 cars ' eBay free postage, they are excellent so easy to clamp on the ladders done in seconds & secure with a key (lock built in) worth the money in long run !

iv got a transit van as well, can be a pain using the normal metal clamps, i like the fact that the rhino clamps don't screw, they just drop down and clamp with the handle

i keep thinking about getting some but there nearly £50 a pair, i take my metal one`s off in the morning and then they stay in the back of the van until finished work, i run around all day using bungee cords

Mixed reviews here. I'm using a vw caddy so no transit here so that's not an issue.

Just want something that's quick easy and cheap.

I used to use bungee cords until my mate had an accident and the ladders  came off his van and straight through the other cars windscreen luckily no one was hurt .

yes i know there not everyone's cup of tea, i use the heavy duty ones, 2 per ladder. never had a problem with them, if i rock my ladders the van rocks as well. there not going anywhere.

a chap i know uses really cheap ones from the pound shop, doesn't replace them until they start to fray, asking for trouble

Ive bought rhino clamps after using normal spin lock clamps for years, and would definately recommend the rhinos. I personally wouldn't go back to the old type now.

I use two rhino ladder stops. I put the ladder rungs inbeteeen the stops. Then one cheap bungee.

I find the winding ones easy, hate the rhino clamps, there extremely stiff and a faff to use
