Here in lincolnshire I was told if I was parked on double yellows and had hose going to the van I was loading (filling up) or unloading (cleaning) and I would be left alone, and their pretty keen around here but have left me alone.

Nottingham has a permit system,£100 per van per year well worth it, helps out when shopping as well.

Just get in touch with the council and ask for a dispensation/parking allowance for your business
