Hello everybody!
« on: January 05, 2015, 10:08:23 pm »
Hi, ;D ;D I have just registered in the forum, my name is Matias I'm 21 years old and I am thinking of starting to do some window cleaning soon!
I live in West sussex, i am about to move to Worthing, if someone needs a day or two a week of help i would be very grateful as I have just started and have got barely any experience. I can travel 25 miles to any direction for a day of window cleaning :). Advise is always welcome, I'm looking forward to start canvassing and begin doing my own window cleaning round but that will take some time, Thank you all for your attention.

Hi Matias,

Welcome to the forum, i'm pretty new on here too.  I'm 22 years old and have been window cleaning self employed since August 2013.  Best advice i can give you is, work for somebody for free unless they will pay you!  Do that for a few weeks or about 3 months max, once your confident enough, go out do your canvassing and start building your business and by the end of 2015 you could be a fairly nice little established business.

You won't look back when you get into it, being your own boss and having your own freedom is what makes it really worth doing  :)

Good evening Matias.

Good luck.

There's plenty of work going around the east Worthing area. I go as far as Shoreham and Lancing and almost every time I'm around that area I get asked about window cleaning but I'm chocca so no point in me giving a quote.

Last Sunday a lady who is the sister in law of a customer of mine asked me if I go as far as Pulborough as she needs a window cleaner. Any good to you?

Sorry I can't help you out with showing you the ropes. I work best on my own and I've found when working with others, I'm not exactly good company as I get seriously impatient.

If I could only give you one word of advice is would be "Consistent"

keeping going when you don't want to
being organised

If you cannot get someone to show you ropes practice on your own house and keep practicing best to find pit falls on your own place rather than a customers and get a bad name. good luck.

Hi Matias.  Welcome.  If you want it enough, it will happen.  Just one suggestion, if yu are going to be in Worthing, don't travel 25 miles south for window cleaning experience :)
