Slx all the way, top quality and proven product.

Haven't checked lately but the exceed would need to be around £50 to £75 cheaper than an SLX for me to take a risk in buying one, for me the "tubeless" feature is just a bit of a novelty with no real benifits

ex-ceed £280 SLX just short of £300. Ex-ceed you need to buy a brush. Gardiner, you need to buy a Aqua Dapter. If you don't use Aqua Dapter, Gardiner wins. Odd thing is, before Ex-ceed new web site, I am sure prices were way better, People will stick to Gardiner, if prices are the same

That pole looks the part and because its tubeless you could attach a tap to the pole without
having a loop.
Cheers for the link.

The tap would be a few metres from the base of the pole though
so not much use ???

Im sure they all come with the Aqua -daptq mine did, so there is no need for a tap and no loop

All telescopic carbon poles will produce black stuff as the friction wears the surface down. ;)

I think gardiner put a comment on here a while ago that they changed from that style of pole wrap for some reason can't remember why?

Gardiners have an insulating wrap on the base section. No carbon pole (telescopic) can be immune from the "black hand syndrome" as this is produced as the tube surface begins to wear from the friction of the telescopic sections. Don't forget that the tube surfaces wear on both the outside & inside. If you fins a pole that doesn't wear & thus is ever-lasting please let the rest of us know!! ;D
