    SLX or Xtreme.

    Reasons-

They're light, can reach 25-30ft, have transverse "smart" clamps & are rigid- everything you require! ;)

Add to that- industry leading customer service & support, continuous development programme & a massive range of tools/equipment designed to compliment their poles.

    What more could you ask?

as above most recommended pole, cant go wrong with a gardiner plus you get a brush neck and pole hose inc in price, many others are just pole or pole and hose.

I've seen the new ones have the little metal coller on them! is that put on the new slx also or just the extreme would check my self but site is down.

i have exteme 47 and spinning......its not used much at all! very disappointed at that. if the collars are metal ill just go with what is advised as i do like them

I assume your 47 doesn't have smart clamps? If not I would upgrade them as this will cure the spinning.

I have just got an exceed tubeless 22 full carbon and also had my 30 slx converted so both my everyday poles use the same hose and Aqua-daptas. I have always used a tap on my belt, but that bloody loop it creates.
Weight at that height shouldn't  be a problem but we will see. The pole is well made and should be long lasting.
I am a massive Gardiner fan but bought a 22 extreme in September that I need to speak to Alex about, but that can wait till the new year.
Monday is my start back so may do a new thread/review next week.
    Happy new year.

Bought myself an slx25 a couple of weeks back, amazing piece of equipment!!!
I had been using a clx22 and the extra length, lightness and rigidity make it a pleasure to use.
The clx was a great entry level pole but when the wind got up, some days I had to call it quits as the pole was starting to whip around and the jets were spraying water everywhere. The rigidity of the slx means you have more control in windy weather, i definitely recommend one  ;)

slx all the way don't bother with the extreme as its poorly built for an every day pole

I've only used Extremes since they came out - brilliant everyday pole! New ones are even better with the metal collars and smart clamps.

All depends where you want to spend your money - best tools for the job you use everyday or buy a cheaper pole and spend money on another tattoo?

it seems to me that theres a choice to make with extremes and slx, both fantastic poles but you trade the weight of the extreme for the reliabity, strength and longevtitiy of slx.
i had a go of a extreme for a day with dave wood and although its nice i kept worrying about clamping points etc so i'll always be happy with slx for everyday although i definately wouldnt say no to an extreme or say theyre any better or worse than slx its just they both have theyre own points!

I think the Xtreme is more robust than some may think, however it is true & a good point. There's no denying the amount of abuse you can throw at an SLX & get away with it!!  ;D

I don't think 'poorly built' is fair, Susan.
But I agree, the SLX is better as an everyday pole c.18ft
