pump/controller dead ending
« on: December 30, 2014, 03:28:48 pm »
ive got a new system, has a pump and streamline digital controller, unless the flow rate is high it dead ends and cuts out.
it happens b4 and after its connected to hose reel, thought cold got to it so left heater in to warm up, even tried warm water on it so its not the cold
any ideas?

Re calibrate it

Unreel some hose from your reel and plug in a pole
Turn pump on with taps open (if you have one) so water should technically be flowing
On your controller you have 3 buttons...up,down and enter
Press and hold the left button and right button (arrow facing up and the enter/cornered arrow)
'Cal' should appear
Press down until you get 'aut'
Press enter (the right of the 3 buttons)
After a few seconds a number will show up on the screen
Press enter again

Controller is now re-calibrated

The calibration setting determines your pressure setting, so it will shut the pump off when this pressure setting has been hit
You may have to follow this procedure again spring/summer time as the water is thinner (warmer) and so will need less pressure for your pump to work (winter, water is thicker so your pump needs more pressure)
