thinking of converting to this so my fogwash fires up in the night so not to bother with plugging in heaters ect. does it work well with lpg heaters, and my main question is can the warmed up water be directed thro the ro and pre filters  before going into the tank, as the ro is my main consern

I always thought that the water in your tank would have already gone through the RO.
I like the idea though, heat the water overnight and keep the van warm at the same time. Don't Ionic systems do something similar?

i think you miss understood me, i wouldn`t heat the water overnight it just fires the boiler up when temp falls to say 2oC and cuts out when it reaches 5oC . if i wasnt hooked up overnight to produce pure water i wanted to know if the circulated water could go through the ro to make sure it didnt freeze overnight, im looking at eliminating the need to connect to electricity

Tbh I would stick with a small Dan heater on a timer, I set mine an hour before I go out so it's all warm in the back. I use the fog wash but wouldn't like it clicking on when your dealing with gas.

According to a post by Ian a few weeks back, the froststat will kick in at 2 degrees and switch the pump on for 10 minutes. You need to run this hot water either through your hose reel and back to a connector on the tank or directly from the pump to the tank. It's designed to keep the gas boiler from being damaged by frost.

You are right, it isn't designed to heat the water in the tank as that would take much longer than 10 minutes.

If you purchased one made prior to 1st Dec 2013 then it can only be used with diesel heaters.

The new ones have an adjustable speed control that can be set higher for gas users.
