Probably around £150 and 2 bottles of wine. Quite a bit down on recent years. I must admit we have struggled to get round to our domestic customers this year, often been a couple of weeks late. This probably explains the reason why the tips are down. Back to being reliable again now that the second van is on the road.  ;D

Ps I'd have thought you'd have got loads more than that Daz. 350 odd customers that's only averaging a bit over £1 per house, and most of your customers are rich (or at least live in expensive houses)

Tips I would say around £15

Wine about 3 bottles

3 boxes of Chocs

Worst year ever for tips.

A price increase and a round shake up see me hit my YTD figure from the previous year in October of this year.

For me it's Go cardless and Online that have changed.

Not moaning in the slightest. Yeah it's nice getting a tips but like people say. Work smarter. Not harder.

Yes 50% of my customers pay online now. Far easier for customers to not tip when paying electronically.

Overwhelmed myself. I've built a wine rack in the back of the van and installed a safe in the cab.
Record year and still more to come.

Several £20 tips so maybe the recession is finally over?

Box of quality street
Tub of roses
Box of shortbread
Bottle of white wine
2 bottles of red
And a single can of Budweiser  :)
And £232 cash.

Best tip was £30 tip from a £10 customer.

A few customers who always tipped me at Xmas haven't this year-I suspect because of GoCardLess as DeeGee has said.
And like H2O says, I don't expect anything at all.
A couple of quid for a pint at the end of the week is always nice.

And commercials expect the tip rather than give 'em.

I gave a homeless person £25 on Sunday in London. Was it the right thing to do?

I got my best tip yesterday from a customer who pays by cheque in post (this was one I did 8 days early and left a note explaining about getting everyone cleaned for Christmas hence Im a little early this month)

It was a Christmas card and in it she wrote

"To Ian, thank you for your kind explanation about the window cleaning for December (I was away anyway) You are by far the best window cleaner in the area and always so reliable"

Now cant spend it, cant drink it, cant eat it but so nice to get comments like that  :)
