I am just starting another trial of Cleaner Planner, I have noticed a couple of things which are tricky after only a few minutes

Call me stupid, but where do you mark a job as done in Cleaner Planner, surely that's the first button you should see when you select the job, I have been looking for 5 Mins and cannot see the button anywhere

Also why does the auto select bar keep covering the Bar that starts with Due so you cannot see the tabs underneath, I have to keep going back a page then forward for it to disappear

Also the slide Bar to scroll down the page is a pain it is very thin and there is no Arrow to Scroll.

I know my way around programs usually, but things are quite frustrating,

Is this the Same programme that Ian and Brad Monks started a couple of years back , as I couldn't get my head around that one as well

I have used George for years, but will not do what I want it to do anymore, it needs more updates, and is also getting very slow and cumbersome

To mark a job as done there are 2 methods:

1. Go to the work planner which list all jobs due and then on the top right of the job box  hover the cursor over the price and it will change to show done and a tick, click on this and you can then mark the job as done and also create and send an invoice.

2. Add the job to a worksheet and then mark the job as done from the worksheet.

It was worse a couple of months back  You had to make a worksheet up every day but very recently the option to mark the job done from the planner has evolved. The programme still has one or two oddities but Rob is easy to talk to and the Cleaner Planner forum excellent.

I love cleaner planner , im sat on holiday updating everything i did this week and sending invoices with a few clicks , best software for window cleaning ive used , i loved wcp but they just gave up so this seems the future .... this and garlic bread

Thinking  of giving it a whirl myself as getting a bit fed up of George ant the moment, as seems very unstable since the last update many months ago.  Think George is now coming to an end.

Thanks as always for the positive words about Cleaner Planner

Alex - thanks for explaining the options for marking jobs as done. The option to mark a job as done directly from the "Planner" was a recent and popular addition. It's great for ticking off lower volume (e.g. commercial) jobs, or perhaps the odd job or two you forgot to put on a worksheet, but personally I think selecting the jobs and clicking "Add to Worksheet" to create a proper worksheet that you can print, download to the mobile app, assign to specific staff etc is the optimal approach for higher volume (i.e. domestic) work, but each to their own and good to have the choice I think!

David - just to recap on the other points you raised:

The "action bar" as I call it, which shows the actions (buttons) you can perform on the selected jobs (e.g. "Change Due", "Bulk Edit", "Add to Worksheet" etc) deliberately hovers over the list when you scroll down (this was another popular user suggestion) so that if you're right at the bottom of the list having selected a bunch of jobs, you don't have to scroll all the way back to the top to "Add to Worksheet" or whatever you need to do. Great little timesaver once you're up and running on the system and you know why it's there and what it does. However, after reading your comment I had a look and realised that yes, if you scroll the list so that the blue header bar ("Due", "Job Ref", "Address" etc) is right at the top of the screen, then the "action bar" will hover prematurely and hide it. I've now fixed this so it only appears once you've scrolled to the point that the blue header bar is hidden anyway. Give it another try and let me know if it's better for you.

The scroll bar is the standard browser one and I don't have any control over this (unless I use a third party one which I'd rather not do as they can be flaky). I'll look into this though. Are you on a PC, Mac or iPad? Do you know what browser you're using e.g. Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer?

rob not sure whats going on on my cleaner planner but when i scroll down the page on any page the blue tab with planner,worksheet, debts expenses etc is scrolling down the page too and quite annoying not sure if its problem with cp or my laptop but no other sites doing it not sure if anyone else is suffering with this

Hi Richy - just released an update (related to the post above!) and some devices are remembering the old version. If you press CTRL + F5 if you're on a PC, or CMD + R if you're on a Mac it should sort it. Let me know?

tried didnt work my f5 button is related to the touch pad and just enables or disables the touch pad when i try that
