Hot water and resin
« on: December 19, 2014, 08:45:22 pm »
Am I correct in thinking that passing hot water through resin compromises it somehow ?
Sparky mate of mine is fitting a couple of elements to my water tank tomorrow. At present, my resin vessels are between pumps and brush.

If it's too hot it can deteriorate resin quicker. It seems to melt the little beads.

I'm not sure what temp this actually happens though.

Vision works far better with hot water you can really see its advantage with hot water far more than with cold

Interesting that you say that NWH. Didn't bother turning the immersions on for today as it wasn't a cold day. Was more impressed with things Monday when using hot. Just 'purely' put it down to the hot water, if you know what I mean.

Hot works far better anyway over cold but with vision added I find it makes even more of a difference,I found I could get away with being a lot quicker if I wanted to on each window using the vision as well. All windows are easier to clean but PVC windows especially
