F.A.O Alex Gardiner - Super lite wide fan jets issue.
« on: December 19, 2014, 01:43:22 pm »
i received a new brush head on Wednesday from Gardiners, a medium mixed radius sill brush as I'd had my last one approx 10 months and it had finally given up the ghost. I ordered the super lite wide fan-jets as that's what I had in the last brush and was very happy with them.

Unfortunately over the last 2 days I've had some issues as they simply aren't as good as the old ones. I've had to increase the pump output by approx 50% to achieve the same performance as the old brushes' jets!

I decided today to swap the actual jets from the old brush into the new one and while doing so noticed they are of a different design (see attached image: new fan jets are on the left in the photo) and thought I would ask if this is intentional or not? And if so are these the only option from now on? As quite frankly compared to old ones they are rubbish.

Me too. 3 new brushes all with fans, all poor in comparison to the old ones.

Hi Shaun

I'm sorry that you are having this issue. The new design should not have any affect on the actual fan pattern itself.

I have your details as the office has emailed me now about this. I will get back to you as soon as I can on this. It may be Monday before I can sort it out for you.

Anyone else - If they are not working correctly then please send me an email on alex@agardiner.co.uk and I can look into sorting this out for you. There can be variations with plastic moulding and sometimes inconsistency - shouldn't happen but it can.

Hi Alex, thanks for your reply.

I thought I would fit one of the new fan jets back into the brush (so now there's one of each on it) and you can clearly see the difference in the two spray patterns. I will take a photo in the daylight tomorrow morning and send it over if it will be of any use.

Like someone mentioned above, I thought it was just me at first. I thought I must have a dodgy set or something as I literally went through everything in my set up looking for pressure loss and leaks etc but soon came to conclusion it was the fan jets.
