I bought some epoxy resin from pound land today, my question is ,,, is this stuff any good for fixing pole clamps back on alloy poles?.

I've tried all sorts of glues but after a while they become loose,

It only cost me a pound

Epoxy resin is fine middsy. But eventually most glues breakdown if they get wet over a period of time and you need to do it again.

I view it as pole maintenance.

Also I carry a roll of gaffer tape to do a quick fix to finish the day off.

Never had a clamp come loose in nearly 5 years. My dad has fixed two poles which are his and he has used the poundland stuff and said it was fine. Yellow packet/red plunger?

Yes that's the stuff, I'll give it ago at the weekend, I also keep a roll of tape in the van too, but after a while the other pole clamp,gets stuck on the tape, you need too really pull hard to get it to part.

go to gardiners poles and suddenly see how difficult you've had it gaffer tape all the way for loose clamps / thread adapters / goosenecks!

I find the glue breaks after time might try mastic gotta be better more flexible

Sorry Mate that stuff is no good if does not set ridged its seams to be flexible when set.I bought a few at Pound land dumped it all. Its was really cheap, I thought and turned out to be cheap results.

Araldite for me too , stuck a resi neck into a carbon facelift  years ago , it has not moved since .
The difference in diameters was at least 2 mil i reckon , the only downside could be that if its a clamp your gluing and it fails you will need a new clamp and lose an inch of the pole section if you have to cut it off , pair of lady gagas shoes will sort the shortfall out though
