As the title.
As far as I can gather the hose reel goes up the pole but is that it?

Yep thats it
a short length of internal pole hose remains in the length of the first pole section and connects to hose ( not nescessarily reel hose , but can be left connected to the reel and wound up with it ) that goes up inside the pole when extended. makes for a tidier van and adding or removing pole sections a doddle.

Seems to be a mixed opinion on here but personally think its a great idea.
Its taken the benefits of a modular pole system and adapted it to a telescopic system, whereby you could use one pole for your highest to ground floor work by easily removing or adding sections without having to un thread or re thread an internal hose.

you don't use reel hose

reel - connects to 10m length of pole hose- connects to bottom of pole- disconnects-gets wound in on reel = no messy tangled pole hose in back of van or dripping brush jets or pole hose   the weight penalty of an additional connector and sleeve will be minimal compared to a conventional pole.

Yes you could do it with any pole, I have with mine. But if I were in the market for a new pole and had the choice, I'd buy one with it already done as its a bit more refined than my own modification.

I carry several poles in my van of different size. This is to make my life easier as I don't want to start messing around removing or adding sections from 1 pole each time I pull up to the next property. 

The only advantage that seems to be mentioned about running the pole hose from the reel is that "it will make your van look tidier" which seems a bit ridiculous as a reason in itself. Also, if you buy the smallest size pole only this means you cannot use the other poles in your van as they do not utilise this method with the pole hose - why would anyone do this? So you would have to buy the largest pole and keep adding/removing sections - hardly a time saver IMO.

Regarding the poles they may well be equal to, or better than, Gardiners but I think that in incorporating this gimmick they have limited their potential market by restricting buyers to an 'all or nothing' approach which is surely never a good idea in a market as competitive as the pole market currently is.

It wouldn't have been so bad if they had offered a bare pole without the gimmick so we could use it in our normal set up which would also allow for an easier comparison.

I think they have really missed the target on this and it is a real shame.

They work the same way as any other pole.  They just put plastic cover over a rectus 21 fitting and call it an innovation.!!!!! #MarketResearchNeeded.

Don't have to have 'X' amount of mtr of pole hose....you can use 6mm micro-bore straight from the reel instead.

seems a pretty good idea to me and pretty well executed , i use extreme poles so I'm not likely to be buying one anytime soon but this forum does make me laugh sometimes .

If this was a gardiner  invention everyone on here would be raving about it!

Just been taking  look at The Exeed poles and I am making a prediction these chaps will become a serious contender in the wfpole market, mark  my words. This Chap Steve is a very gifted man to think up all the ideas to fit the needs of window cleaning. Take note Alex Gardener you have competition which will be for the industry in general. If I was a Dragon I would be investing big time.

i'd love to try these exceed poles mainly for the fitting on the end but as ive just bought 2 new slx poles it will be a while and its a shame theyre not openly selling the conversion kits to try first but i understand he wants to sell his poles as a complete set up which if you got a good idea like that you want to sell it as a complete set up and the fact he throws the aquadaptor in as part of the whole kit its a good deal by the looks of it, he just needs to bring his own range of brushes and im sure he will definately be a contender.
hope Alex has some sort of fitting kit similar in the pipeline as weve not heard his opinion in this new fitting yet?

The one piece of advice I would give Steven is .... and this is not a dig as I am a big fan of the aquadapter, and I wish him well with the Exceed poles......get the admin side of your business fixed out ASAP, you will be on to a winner if you do, if you don't, you run the risk of not only losing loyal customers, but also missing out on potential customers as well.

Bang on. I ordered 1 on Sunday because they were in stock and now I learn from on here, they are out of stock of the tubes to send them out in.

Just not seeing the revelation dirty pole hose of not cleaned will still go up the pole and deposit dirt , the rectus fittings will wear and need replacing just the same as if you had an SLX without the exceed set up .


As said before I have a flow controller with to barb fittings which would last a lifetime if the tap lever did not break after about 6 months so I just need to replace the valve body

I do wonder how people will get replacement fittings if they don't supply them on they're website that's quite worrying if you broke the unique rectus fitting!
You can replace every part of your pole with gardiner and they're all available to order on theyre website!
