I like "streets with houses"  ;D how about "streets without houses" ;D

Alltec held a short marketing seminar during CARPEX, they said that carpet cleaner most likely to get respond from a middle aged female with college/university education.

new looking estates with construction still going on at the bottom end with cream carpets = loads of potential customers, even if theres a cc living on there, i know i flyered one last week and booked 3 jobs from the last 20 houses on there ;D

another thing iv found the newer the better when i started i wouldnt bother leafleting the really new places as i thought they wouldnt have had time to get dirty.

in fact i have found people are more likely to get a new carpet in a new house cleaned the minute it gets a couple of little marks on it, i guess its like anything you buy new its a novelty and you wanna keep it looking its best, this normally passes with time.

Surrey Hampshire and Berkshire.

Seems to be loads of Mums that Do around Here. To busy going to get their nails and hair done to look after the kids let alone god forbid clean their own houses.

Troubles is they are as tight with the money as they are lazy with everything else.

But they are right in what they say about the midle aged Women that is content, They always make the best customers, trouble is finding them.

Cheers

Neil

When I was writing my business plan for domestic cleaning company I had to specify who my customers were going to be and explain why.

I went to our central library and they gave me some demographic info who and were live in the city.  That info classified areas by type of residents, for example this area occupied manly by professionals or unemployed etc., average income could vary from this to this etc.

Today you can do such search from your desktop:

1. Go to www.upmystreet.co.uk
2. Then look on the left side of the page where there is "Local area" and click on "My neighbours".
3. Type in a post code (it would give you a more specific respond) of the area you would like to learn about
4. See what kind of people live there.

Hope this helps  ;)

Arthur

HI
I did 7 hours leaflet dropping and obviously completley knackered and have not received a single call yet did 100 on the way home yesterday and got 3 jobs?? work that out! But of course its like rolling a snowball the more leaflets you drop(good quality single drop leaflets) the more the enquiries will start to roll in I built my business this way and have 7 franchisees operating!
Even though we are getting a bigger business I still spend days leafleting to keep my feet on the ground - firmly!
