Which other industries use pure water? Is it just us?!

Do any other industries use pure water, or are we pretty much the only ones, I wondered if car washers use pure water as well as us, can't think of any other industry? If not then we pretty much keep the reverse osmosis systems selling!

power stations so cooling pipes don't get clogged up .............. so one of my retired customers told me ... devils water he called it  :o

Car Valeters, Printers, Glass manufacturers, Aquariums, The beverage industry and probably loads more.

I was working with ro systems 18 years ago in the food industry. But not the toy town types we use, each ro was 1.8m long and 100mm diameter two banks of six.

Try keeping fish/corals in water mixed with salt straight out the tap. You'll have a tank of dead everything in a very short time.

cant run a marine set-up without pure water.

Some wire eroders use pure water as well (engineering)

It's also used in power generation as an extremely effective insulator.
