A question about Cleaner Planner
« on: November 08, 2014, 06:51:26 am »
On Aworka I am 2 weeks behind schedule. I want to keep it like that because I want to have the ability to catch up when I take someone on. The problem is that I also want a record of when the job is actually done so if I need to chase up the debt I can state what day the windows were cleaned. Does Cleaner Planner offer that?

not 100% sure what you mean but on cleaner planner it will always tell you the last date a job was done regardless of when it gets done again.

Each job has its own transaction history.

Date cleaned

Payment received

So each job has its own little balance sheet.

Being able to view transactions on days is amazing.

You can select may 7th 2014 and it will tell you whah payments come in. It's great for correcting customers lol

Well aworka does that, but it takes the date from aworka's calendar. Trouble is, I am two weeks behind so last week I was working on week beginning 20th April and when I mark it done it shows 20th April instead of 5th November when it was actually done.

Then you need to change the tab so that it goes from actual day job done and not due date. Simples

Not sure that's right. In Aworka? It still takes the date from the calendar in Aworka when I mark it done regardless I think. I would like it to take the date from the system comuter.

It can use either, your choice.

That's the thing, I want both. I want the planner to show the due date but I want it marked done on the date it is actually done. That's because I want at some point to catch up on the work, otherwise I could just move it all forward.

I doubt it'll do both and I think that may be a fairly unique "need".

Worth asking Rob though.

Scratch that, I think I understand what you mean now....

You need to set it to: "date originaly due" in the settings. Spanner icon (top right) > settings tab > schedule next due from.

It will still record the dates you actually did it but will schedule it to a predetermined (by you) date originally due.

I will email Chris as I don't think Aworka does do that - at least not how I want it. To be exact I want it to show on the planner the due date, but when I click on the record I want it to have recorded the actual "done" date. If that makes sense.

Hi guys, so in Cleaner Planner...

Every active job has a due date and will ALWAYS show on the planner as due on that date (as well as 4 weeks later, 4 weeks after that and so on depending on the schedule if you look forward on the planner).

If you opt to show "Done" jobs on the planner it will ALSO show you EVERY time the job was ACTUALLY done regardless of it's due date or schedule.

You can also click the job and go to the "Transactions" tab to view the full clean and payment history for the job.

So I think the answer to the original question is yes?!

So it picks up the "done" date from the system clock and the due date from Cleaner Planner?

When you mark a job as "Done" on the worksheet, either on the PC/Mac or mobile app, it will default to today's date yes (as determined by the system clock).

If you're marking it as done retrospectively (e.g. you did the job a couple of days ago) you can click the calendar and change the "Done" date.

The due date is entirely separate. You can change this yes, but generally you'll leave it to CP to work out when the job is next due based on it's schedule (e.g. 4/8/12 weekly).

As Soupy pointed out, there is a setting: "Schedule Next Due From" which you can either set to "Date Actually Done" or "Date Originally Due" if you want to keep the job on schedule even if you did it late.

Ok, that would solve a problem for me when chasing debts as currently I can't tell the debtor when I did the job, only when it was due. If Aworka won't do the same (and I'm pretty sure it doesn't) I will give Cleaner Planner a try.

I'm not sure how it works in Aworka, but in Cleaner Planner every job has it's own individual account balance and transaction history (record of cleans, payments etc).

Perhaps give CP a try as you say and see if it handles your needs better. If you sign up for the trial and email me your Aworka job export I'll get you set up right away.
