Gutter cleaning prices. Help?
«

Hey guys.
Can anyone assist in helping to give me an idea on how to price for gutter cleaning.
I clean the windows on a huge retirement complex and they have asked to give a quote on the gutter cleaning. I would have to purchase a gutter cleaning system, to reach 30 ft high. As they want it cleaned twice a year it would be better to purchase than hire.
Any help much appreciated.
Cheers Chez

Charge a day rate your happy with? Or split each section of gutter up and price each peice to break it down to them? id it's only a one off, I'd borrow or rent a guttee vac, but it may come in handy in the future if you know your going to be doing more...

Hi Chez, the going rate from what I've seen on this and another forum to clear gutters is 3 pound a metre, I bought
a guttervac in august as I was getting a lot of calls for gutter clearing, I started charging 3 euros a metre ( I'm based
in Ireland now) but put it up to 4 euros a metre because the majority of gutters hadn't been done in years, so they
needed a lot more effort, I think 3 pound a metre is a fair rate, hope this helps.
Best regards
Lal

so people charge £3 per metre to clean gutters. Is that gutter vac only or if using a ladder? And just to clear out or wipe down exteria too??

I charge £3 a metre to clean inside and £5 a metre in and out, using the customers outside tap water of course, then clean their windows with pure as a little bonus for them ;-)

I would charge the same as Mark suggests for residential.... £3/5 Clear and clean... plus a free window clean. On your retirement home however this will add up to thousands so you may have to trim it back a bit.
I've found with a decent vac I can get round a large modern detached property a lot quicker than round a small old terrace with difficult access, so a fixed per metre rate isn't always reliable.
