If you don't normally do hard floors then don't be afraid to walk away!
Sounds like a potentially difficult one. Find out first of all what it's sealed with, as you may need to put the finish back on. (Chances are they won't know)
I'd normally do this sort of thing with a slow speed heavy rotary with scrubbing brush, wet vac the slurry and loads of rinsing, but this could remove original seal.
Sounds as if you might be using a carpet rig- not sure that would work unless you can get seriously high water temp. Also watch for leaving bits of your wand on the high spots.
