who cleans windows in the rain?
« on: October 06, 2014, 08:40:08 pm »
And how did your customers react to it when you first started doing it, and did you lose many customers when you started?

Cheers

Rain lashing against the windows is a no go on domestic , Light to medium rain without any wind and I will be out in it all day never lost a custy yet .

Anyone that does raise the issue of working in rain I usually point out that the windows are only wet because I am cleaning them WFP and rain is not touching windows .

Harder for those trad only, but WFP makes it a no-brainer.

Heavy wind and mega cold the only real job stoppers, oh and lightning  ;D

Dazmond  ;D

i didnt start work until 1130am this morning due to the heavy rain and strong wind! ;D ;D

i worked til 6pm though and all scheduled work completed! ;)

in fact the sun came out this afternoon and the day ended nice and dry.

i do work in the rain.even when its lashing on the windows sometimes.i just dont like getting behind schedule!it does happen but not very often these days.

ive lost a few customers here and there due to cleaning  in the rain but im not bothered.i get the odd "not today" as well but nothing to get worried about.i just move onto my next job.

its better than sitting indoors not earning. ;)

One of my customers actually thanked me for cleaning them in the rain today. She was just happy to have a regular cleaner.

I didn't start till around 12ish either today though. Too windy, but it died off by midday.

Yeah, had that a few times. I'd rather not work in rain though. Hate getting wet at work. If it's not hitting the windows, and I need to get finished on domestics, then we crack on.
No still don't understand, I must be thick

I worked from 06:00 to 12:00. Great days earnings despite the rain. You decide if it's too bad to work and don't worry what anyone else is doing.

It's all about conditioning your custys when they are aware that despite it raining the windows will dry with the usual top quality results .

Whether your cleaning them in the rain or it rains 2hrs after you have cleaned them the end result is the same Clean Windows .
