Best Leaflet Plain and simple
« on: October 06, 2014, 11:00:19 am »
Hi Im getting some new leaflets, my last ones were A6 DOUBLE SIDED GLOSS, and advertised all our services......they looked great but  I dont think they worked very well,

could it be that they were too professional looking? and too much info.

The reason i ask is when i first started, i simply printed my basic  details on cheap card and printed them myself, and built a whole round on them, they worked fantastic.

so a couple of years ago i decided to have 10,000 glossy fancy ones done, they have not been anywhere near as successful,

should i go basic again...and what size leaflet works for you? A5 OR A6

Thanks, Gary,

I prefer cheap and cheerful ones as I seem to get a better response to them as people prefer a one man band over firms that send strangers every time.

I agree,  i had window cleaning, facias, conny roofs, driveways... before and after pics..... on a double sided gloss colour leaflet.

Think im going to get 5,000 .....A5 , And simply advertise window cleaning,

or maybe get  2,500 of those and 2,500 advertising everything else....but im going to keep it basic and simple

What do you guys think?

I have double sided glossy leaflets from vistaprint but they are simple and direct and have worked really well in the past , The biggest waste of money i spent on leaflets was readymade leaflets got one call from about 2,500 .

They just need to state what you offer and cleaning schedules Simples

I think that using a leaflet that advertises just one service works much better than listing all services on one leaflet.

Here is what we use for window cleaning... It seems to be working very well.

A5 400gsm card, silk finish.

To get good results you have to deliver massive amounts, and follow up regularly, to be honest I think most of us do half hearted attempts at dropping a few off, instead of door knocking which gets the real results !

I've tried several styles over the years from the early days printing my own to very wordy ones back to very simple stuff, and finally our current a4 tri fold.

All have been successful at different times of year, or areas neither simple or complicated have been a success every time.

However, the very basic one brought in more low end stuff and calls where people were more price aware ( ie. Looking for 2 to 3 cleans a year for a fiver )

Our tri fold is a very consistent performer week in week out, but it pulls in lots of gutter clearing, conny roof cleans, pressure washing work as well as windows
